Getting Started as a Worker

ASG Data Refinery pays you in BSV micropayments for labeling data. This guide walks you through registration to your first payout.

What You'll Need

  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) or an Android device
  • A valid email address
  • An internet connection
  • A BSV-compatible wallet for receiving payments (we recommend HandCash)

Step 1: Access the Worker App

You can use the worker app in two ways:

PlatformHow to Access
WebVisit worker.asgrefinery.io
AndroidDownload asg-worker-v1.0.0.apk (GitHub Releases; same app as worker.asgrefinery.io)

Step 2: Create Your Account

  1. Open the worker app
  2. Switch to the Create Account tab
  3. Enter your email address and choose a password (minimum 8 characters)
  4. Click Create Account

Your account is created with a unique worker ID. This ID is tied to your earnings, trust score, and task history.

Step 3: Complete Onboarding

After registration, you'll be asked to set up your profile:

FieldRequiredPurpose

CountryYesHelps match you with region-appropriate tasks
Primary LanguageYesTasks may require specific language skills

PhoneOptionalFor account recovery (encrypted at rest)
tip

Choose your languages carefully — your language proficiency affects which tasks you're offered. Only select languages you're genuinely comfortable working in.

Step 4: Find Your First Task

  1. From the Dashboard, tap Get Next Task
  2. The system assigns you a task based on your language and availability
  3. Read the task instructions carefully before labeling
  4. Submit your label

That's it — you're now a worker on ASG Data Refinery.

Step 5: Set Up Your Wallet

To receive BSV micropayments, you'll need a BSV wallet. We recommend HandCash for its ease of use.

Once your wallet is set up, your earnings will be settled automatically after consensus is reached on your labeled tasks.
