Worker Code of Conduct
By using ASG Data Refinery as a worker, you agree to the following standards of behavior. Violations may result in suspension or permanent ban.
Expected Behavior
- Label honestly and carefully. Your labels train AI models. Inaccurate data has real consequences.
- Follow task instructions. Each task has specific criteria. Read them before labeling.
- Work independently. The consensus model depends on each worker making their own judgment. Don't coordinate labels with other workers.
- Respect the platform. Use the app as intended. Don't attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
- Protect your account. Don't share your login credentials with others. One person per account.
Prohibited Actions
The following will result in immediate and permanent ban:
| Action | Why It's Prohibited |
|---|---|
| Bot or script usage | Automated labels undermine data quality |
| Label coordination | Pre-arranged answers defeat consensus independence |
| Multiple accounts | One person, one account — no exceptions |
| Deliberately wrong labels | Sabotage wastes customer resources and other workers' time |
| Account sharing | Undermines identity verification and trust scoring |
The following will result in suspension (may be lifted after review):
| Action | Duration |
|---|---|
| Sustained low trust score (below 0.50) | Until review |
| Unusual labeling patterns flagged by automated detection | Until review |
| Failure to respond to platform communications | Until response |
Enforcement
- Automated detection — the platform monitors for patterns consistent with botting, coordination, or random labeling
- Manual review — flagged accounts are reviewed by the platform team
- Notification — suspended workers are notified via their registered email with the reason
- Permanent bans — issued for prohibited actions and cannot be appealed
Reporting
If you suspect another worker of violating this Code of Conduct, or if you encounter inappropriate content in a task, email support@asgrefinery.io.
Changes
This Code of Conduct may be updated. Workers will be notified of material changes via the worker app or email. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance.
